Afternoon temperatures are in the mid-80s, dropping to the 70s by dinner and around 60 at bedtime. October is trending as one of the driest months since 2005, with little rainfall expected until Wednesday. A cold front may bring slight rain on Thursday, but it won’t alleviate the severe drought conditions significantly. The following week should see warm temperatures in the mid-80s with mostly sunny skies, while monitoring a tropical system with a 40% chance of development.

1 person in custody for Booneville fatal stabbing
