House fire under investigation in Jackson
SUMMARY: At old Bannon Drive and Sunset Road, across from Commonwealth Village, an officer reported a fire at an abandoned building. Initially, the blaze was large, but firefighters are still on site battling hot spots, with at least six fire trucks and emergency services present for over thirty minutes. Firefighters are actively entering and exiting the structure. The cause of the fire is unknown, but it marks the third fire in abandoned buildings since the weather turned cold. Smoke is still visible, and water is being sprayed to extinguish remaining flames.
