Zach Arnett says MSU football has ‘a long way to go’ before first game
SUMMARY: Mississippi State football held its first practice of fall camp and head coach Zach Arnett said the team still has a long way to go. While the players have a general understanding of the schemes, they need to be further along. Arnett emphasized that the team needs every second of training camp to improve. The team hasn’t started practicing in pads yet, so Arnett is looking forward to seeing them play ‘real football’. He believes that every unit on the team needs to get better and they are not ready to play a game yet.

SUMMARY: Cristian Mitchel Mondragon Gonzales, 29, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder related to a 2018 homicide on the Natchez Trace Parkway. Following a fight at a party on September 23, 2018, Gonzales pursued the victim, convincing him to go for a ride. He then shot the victim multiple times after they exited the vehicle. The victim was found the next morning. Gonzales faces a maximum penalty of life in prison and is scheduled for sentencing on February 12, 2025. The case was investigated by the FBI, Natchez Trace Parkway police, and Ridgeland police.
