Mostly cloudy with areas of frost this morning and highs in the lower 60s. Tonight will be mostly cloudy and warmer with a slight chance of showers after midnight. Lows will be in the lower 50s.

Central Mississippi–

Areas of frost this morning, then warmer and mostly sunny with highs in the mid to upper 60s. It’ll be warmer tonight with a slight chance of showers after midnight. Lows will be in the lower 50s.

Southern Mississippi–

Patchy frost this morning, then mostly sunny with highs in the upper 60s. Mostly clear and not as cool tonight, with lows near 50.

Two killed in crash involving bus carrying Mississippi Gulf Coast CC band

SUMMARY: A tragic crash on Highway 98 in Pike County, Mississippi, resulted in the deaths of two individuals in a Ford Ranger truck, which collided with a bus carrying members of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Band of Gold. The incident occurred on September 19 as the band was heading to a football game against South Mississippi Community College. Fortunately, none of the students on the bus were injured. The Mississippi Highway Patrol is currently investigating the cause of the accident.
