Northern Mississippi will see patchy fog in the morning, then partly sunny skies with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Central Mississippi will also have patchy fog in the morning, with partly sunny skies and a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Southern Mississippi will have patchy morning fog, followed by mostly sunny skies with showers and thunderstorms possible. Highs in southern Mississippi will be in the upper 90s with heat index readings between 114 and 119.

Operation ‘Rotten Egg’ results in 19 facing felony drug charges

Focused on drug trafficking and gang activity in Jackson and George counties, the operation led to 31 undercover buys and the seizure of 390.47 grams of methamphetamine, 86 hydrocodone units, 38 oxycodone units, and multiple firearms. Nineteen people were charged with various drug-related offenses, showcasing the effectiveness of collaboration in enhancing public safety and addressing dangerous criminal activities.

Municipal primary runoffs: What to know before heading to the polls
