Yalobusha man receives 10 years for illegal gun possession
SUMMARY: Lee Everett Henson, a 53-year-old man from Yalobusha County, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for illegal gun possession and conspiracy to distribute fentanyl. The investigation began when the U.S. Postal Service intercepted a package containing nearly 100 grams of fentanyl. Undercover operatives later purchased 80 pills from Henson. District Court Judge Sharion Aycock sentenced him to 63 months for drug conspiracy and 60 months for gun possession, with both sentences running consecutively. Henson will also face five years of supervised release following his prison term.

MHP trooper involved in crash in downtown Jackson
