World War II veteran celebrates 100th birthday
SUMMARY: The Sandersville Community came together to celebrate Albert McLaren’s 100th birthday, honoring a beloved retired postmaster and World War II veteran. Despite the low turnout, many local residents, family members, and town leaders attended the surprise party at the community center. McLaren, who served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific during WWII and was a postmaster for 21 years, shared his joy of reaching such a milestone. Born on September 23, 1924, he is a dedicated family man with three children, five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren, cherishing every day of his life.

12th Annual Dragon Boat Regatta

Interview: Tupelo Bud & Burgers set for April 11
