Workplace shooting sends 1 to hospital in Mississippi
SUMMARY: A workplace shooting occurred at Pallet Source Inc. in Mount Pleasant, Mississippi, on Wednesday morning after an argument between coworkers escalated. An employee was shot several times around 10 a.m. and airlifted to Regional One hospital in Memphis. The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office reported that the shooter, who had fired through a backpack, was apprehended near the scene with a gun in the backpack. The suspect’s identity will remain confidential until charges are filed, and the victim’s name has not been disclosed. WREG reached out to the company for a statement, but they have declined to comment.
