Work underway on projects at the Rez
SUMMARY: Crews are preparing to build a new office complex for the Pearl River Valley Water Supply District at Bobby Cleveland Park. The $5.5 million project, funded in part by a $2 million state grant, will replace the old office. The park is also undergoing other improvements, including new boat ramps near Shaggy’s Reservoir, funded by a $1.2 million grant. Over 1,400 trees damaged by drought and the Southern Pine Beetle were cut down, and crews will hire contractors to grind stumps and mulch the remains. Plans for a new disc golf course and tree planting will begin in February 2025.
