SUMMARY: Two days before Christmas, Florida’s average gas price stands at $2.99 per gallon, slightly below the national average of $3.04, which is nine cents lower than last year. The lowest prices in Florida are found in Okaloosa County at $2.72, while the highest are in Suwannee County at $3.22. In metro areas, Fort Walton Beach-Crestview has the lowest average at $2.74, and West Palm Beach has the highest at $3.16. Nationally, Oklahoma offers the cheapest gas at $2.55, whereas Hawaii has the highest at $4.53.

Gas prices drop around Christmas time in Louisiana | Louisiana

SUMMARY: Gas prices in Louisiana are lower this Christmas compared to months ago and last year. The average price for regular gas is $2.69 per gallon, down from $3.12 last year. Houma-Thibodaux has the highest prices at $2.74, while Monroe boasts the lowest at $2.55. State averages for mid-grade, premium, and diesel are $3.11, $3.49, and $3.19, respectively, all lower than a month ago. Diesel saw the biggest drop, down nearly 50 cents from last year. Current prices are significantly lower than the 2022 highs of $4.55 for regular and $5.37 for diesel.
