Woman sues DPS, Capitol Police after officer-involved shooting

Harris’s civil rights were violated, and Moore is asking the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division and the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Jackson to look for criminal offenses. The lawsuit names the officers, the Department of Public Safety, and the Capitol Police Department and seeks 3 million dollars in compensatory damages. Moore also asked State Attorney General Lynn Fitch to recuse herself from the investigation.
