The allegations surfaced when the victim’s mother discovered details in her daughter’s diary. The incidents reportedly occurred between January and November 2022. The ban stemmed from national security concerns, but Trump’s order aimed to provide more time for a potential sale. Despite app removals from stores, users regained access, and Trump’s actions were viewed as a political maneuver. TikTok’s future remains uncertain, with no confirmed buyers, and questions about the legality of Trump’s intervention persist.

fox2now.com – SUMMER BALLENTINE, Associated Press – 2025-01-19 07:00:00

SUMMARY: In Missouri, voters approved an abortion rights amendment, but GOP lawmakers are seeking to roll back some of those protections. Despite the amendment, which allows restrictions after viability, Republican legislators are working on laws to impose more limits, such as banning most abortions after cardiac activity is detected. They argue that regulating abortion in this way adheres to voter intent. Political experts suggest that Missouri’s Republican lawmakers face little electoral threat due to the dominance of their party, especially in rural areas, where voters tend to support stricter abortion laws. Similar efforts are ongoing in other states like Ohio and Arizona.
