WLOX Holiday Blood Drive: Why it’s important to donate blood during the holiday season

A Red Cross volunteer and Air Force veteran, Pat Pelland, has seen the consistent need for blood donations and encourages everyone to give. The drive will continue for the next two days, and people can donate at the Pascagoula Senior Center. To schedule a time to donate, people can go to the Red Cross website and enter the sponsor code “WLOX”. The WLOX First Alert Weather Team has partnered with the American Red Cross for this important cause.

The holiday season is the time in which the Red Cross needs the most donations.

‘The Wall that Heals’ monument honoring Vietnam veterans coming to D’Iberville
