Witness in Jackson Lewis trial testifies about the day that Adrianna Taylor overdosed
SUMMARY: In a Mobile County trial regarding a fatal fentanyl overdose, 19-year-old Jackson Lewis faces manslaughter charges for the 2022 death of 15-year-old Adriana Taylor. Testimony revealed that Lewis, then 17, allegedly provided drugs, including crushed Xanax, laced with fentanyl, to Taylor and another witness at his grandmother’s house. The witness recounted that both Lewis and Taylor passed out after using drugs, but only Lewis regained consciousness while Taylor did not. The witness attempted CPR, and Lewis’s grandmother eventually called for help. A deputy found Taylor partially hidden under a bed, with toxicology results showing high levels of fentanyl in her system.
Opening statements for the Jackson Lewis trial began at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
