Wisconsin man travels to Coast each year to sell Christmas trees
SUMMARY: As Thanksgiving approaches, a Wisconsin man named Brian travels to Ocean Springs each year to sell Christmas trees at Redmond’s Nursery. Having started this tradition 45 years ago, Brian continues to bring unique trees that thrive outside Mississippi, as local conditions favor only pines and junipers. Families, like one that has been visiting for over 30 years, come to choose their perfect tree together. Brian enjoys the camaraderie and sense of community at the nursery, considering his time on the tree lot part of his Christmas celebration. Redmond Farms will remain until they sell out.

SUMMARY: The Mississippi Aquarium is bringing holiday cheer to the coast with a special event called “A Magical Mississippi Christmas,” featuring a projection map show, *A Penguin’s Christmas Wish*. The show follows penguins on Christmas adventures across Mississippi, highlighting local landmarks. The exclusive preview was held for aquarium employees, showcasing the effort behind the production. This is the first time the aquarium opens at night to the public, offering a unique evening experience. The event, supported by the city of Gulfport and Coca-Cola Bottling Company, will be available for public viewing starting Friday.
The holiday magic runs from November 29 to December 31.

Second Liners Mardi Gras Club serves Thanksgiving meal to Boys & Girls Club East Biloxi Unit
SUMMARY: The Second Liners Marty GR Club funded a special Thanksgiving dinner for the Boys and Girls Club of the East Bronx unit, donating $1,250 to make the holiday memorable. The kids enjoyed a festive meal, including turkey, mac and cheese, and other dishes prepared by Miss Audrey. The event, which has been a tradition for nearly 20 years, brought joy to the children, who expressed gratitude for the food and decorations. In addition to the meal, the Second Liners donated another $1,250 for the club’s Christmas party and provided Advent calendars to kick off the holiday season.
