William Carey University enrollment continuing to increase
SUMMARY: William Carey University is experiencing record enrollment growth, with about 200 to 220 more on-campus students than two years ago. President Dr. Ben Bernett attributes this increase to revitalizing campus facilities, including a renovated cafeteria, and a focused effort to welcome students back post-COVID. The university is ranked as Mississippi’s Best Value, despite higher private tuition, due to minimal hidden fees and provided textbooks. With a strong emphasis on nursing and healthcare programs, they aim to serve underserved communities, further enhanced by their presence on the Gulf Coast. Dr. Bernett expresses excitement for future developments at the Tradition campus.
William Carey University enrollment has grown while other state-supported universities are seeing a decline.
