SUMMARY: In Arkansas, gas prices are typically lower, but drivers are always seeking ways to save on fuel. As winter temperatures cause tire pressure warning lights to activate, many consider nitrogen as an alternative to regular air for inflation. Nitrogen, which is less likely to seep through tires, is claimed to enhance fuel efficiency and tire lifespan. However, research from AAA and Consumer Reports suggests that the benefits of nitrogen primarily apply to heavy-duty vehicles. For most passenger cars, standard air inflation and regular pressure checks are more economical and effective. Regular tire maintenance is essential for safety.

Claims online suggest adding nitrogen to the air in your tires could save you money and help the environment, too. Let’s verify whether those claims are true.

SUMMARY: During a recent board meeting, some members opposed adding new waterslides at the water park, arguing the city’s funding should also address necessary infrastructure improvements. The city approved an additional $2.1 million, part of a total $4.2 million budget, for the design and installation of five new slides, which will double the current slide count. One opposing director expressed concerns about the lack of a lease with the county, insufficient parking, and restroom facilities, claiming it could lead to future problems. Conversely, other board members highlighted the funding’s potential to attract more visitors to the city.
