Will Hall believes 2024 could be breakout season for Southern Miss football
SUMMARY: Southern Miss head coach Will Hall is optimistic about the upcoming season following a challenging 3-9 year. With the loss of star running back Frank Gore, Jr. and the tragic death of safety MJ Daniels, questions loom over the program. However, Hall highlighted the retention of experienced players like wide receiver Ty Mims and defensive end Jalil Clemons as key points for improvement. He noted that USM has consistently boasted a top three recruiting class in the Sun Belt. The Golden Eagles will face Kentucky in their season opener on August 31, focusing on game-by-game strategies and team unity.
