Cannon is dancing the foxtrot and has been inspired by her 98-year-old grandfather who taught her that love keeps you young at heart. She has been working hard with her pro instructor since May and is committed to raising money for the Oxford club. Lights being installed along Highway 18 in Jackson

Woman wanted for murder in Virginia captured in Mississippi

SUMMARY: Akea Faison, 33, was arrested in Jackson, Mississippi, on November 12 after being on the run for 20 months. She was wanted for two counts of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, robbery, and several firearm-related charges, stemming from a robbery in Portsmouth, Virginia, on March 5, 2023, where two men were killed. U.S. Marshals tracked her to a business in Jackson, where she was apprehended without incident. Faison is currently held at Madison County Detention Center and will face extradition to Virginia for her initial court appearance.
