Who is Luigi Mangione? | FOX 5 News
SUMMARY: Authorities have identified 26-year-old Luigi Mangone from Maryland as the suspect in the shooting death of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York. Mangone was detained in Pennsylvania after being recognized at a McDonald’s. Police found a three-page note, multiple fraudulent IDs, a firearm, and a suppressor that matched the weapon used in the shooting. Investigations reveal Mangone may have had a general resentment towards corporate America and possibly ties to multiple locations, including San Francisco and Honolulu. Detectives are expected to question him further as the investigation continues, including his potential travel through Atlanta.
New developments into the death of the UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. Authorities are now calling the person detained in the shooting a suspect. The announcement coming just hours after the person was detained and questioned in Pennsylvania.
