SUMMARY: Last night, residents in North Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Kansas observed a cluster of orange trails in the sky, initially thought to be a meteor. Meteorologist Dylan Federico clarified that it was actually a Starlink satellite breaking up in the atmosphere. Unlike typical meteors, this event appeared slower-moving. Many people captured the spectacle, especially those in areas with clear skies. Numerous videos, including those from Eric Torres in North Texas, showcased the satellite’s pieces disintegrating, creating an interesting view for onlookers across the southwestern United States.

SUMMARY: Dallas police are investigating the fatal shooting of Alice Fiser, a disabled woman, at her West Dallas apartment, where she was shot nine times after suspects forced entry and fired numerous bullets. Family members believe the attackers may have targeted the wrong apartment. Witnesses reported seeing young men in ski masks fleeing the scene in a car. Surveillance footage captured the suspects approaching Fiser’s home before the gunfire erupted. Fiser was known as a caring aunt, mother, and neighbor. The police urge anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

Dallas police are looking for the people responsible for kicking a woman’s door down and unloading a barrage of bullets into her home. The victim’s family believes the shooters meant to go to a different apartment.

TurboTax launches new free mobile filing program but there’s a catch

Published

www.youtube.com – KHOU 11 – 2025-01-24 07:37:28

SUMMARY: TurboTax is offering a free mobile filing service for new customers to file both federal and state taxes. However, there are some catches: the offer is only valid if you file by February 18, 2025, and is unavailable for returning customers. While the mobile app is free even for complex taxes, users must file through their phone; if they switch to a laptop, they will face regular pricing. For new users, this could save money compared to other IRS Free File programs, but if it doesn’t work for you, consider other options through the IRS Free File site.

TurboTax is promoting a new free mobile filing program for tax season, but it comes with significant caveats.
