What Reminds You Of Fall in Mississippi?
SUMMARY: Fall has arrived in Mississippi, though the weather still fluctuates between warm afternoons and cool mornings. Observations of the season include leaves gently falling, creating nostalgic memories of raking and jumping into piles. Chilly mornings are perfect for outdoor activities and warm beverages. Seasonal decorations shift from pastels to autumnal hues, with unique color palettes emerging. Conversations abound about favorite Thanksgiving dishes, cooler fashion choices, and upcoming birthdays in “ber” months. The essence of fall is embodied in beloved pumpkin spice offerings. Boater Safety is a Must!
SUMMARY: Spring is here in Mississippi, prompting many to venture out on the state’s waterways. Before heading out, it’s crucial to review boater safety skills. Those born after June 30, 1980, must complete a state-accredited boater safety course, which covers vital topics like water safety and navigation rules. The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) offers the course online or in person, with various locations available year-round. Successful completion may also help reduce insurance premiums. For more information, contact MDWFP or check their website. Enjoy the beautiful weather, but prioritize safety on the water!
