West Point Consolidated School District makes improvements to facilities
SUMMARY: The West Point Consolidated School District in Mississippi has received about $13 million in funds to make various improvements, including renovations, to the district. The money came from Federal funds, a renewed three Mil Note, and a Brownfield Clean-Up Grant. Some of the funds were used for COVID-19 related tools and equipment, while the majority went towards building upgrades. The district upgraded HVAC units, added extra classes and restrooms at some schools, and even added a science lab at one elementary school. The district plans to continue making improvements each year to enhance all aspects of the district.
