Weather system expected to bring heavy rain to KYTC District 3
SUMMARY: A weather system with moderate to heavy rain is expected to hit Kentucky from Friday through Sunday, prompting the National Weather Service Louisville to issue a flood watch for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 3, covering multiple counties. The region could receive 3-4 inches of rain, leading to potential flooding on normally dry roads. Drivers are urged to avoid flooded areas and not bypass road barricades. With previous rains already affecting water levels, creeks and rivers may face additional strain. Road closure updates will be available on District 3’s social media accounts.
