SUMMARY: With the start of school approaching, the County Sheriff’s Department is ensuring have necessary supplies by hosting its first-ever “Stuff a Backpack” this Friday and Saturday. Volunteers will distribute pens, pencils, paper, backpacks, and other items to families in need. The initiative aims to less fortunate and them begin the school year positively. The event runs from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM both days at the Waynesboro . Donations can also be dropped off at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Search crews spent Monday working to find missing swimmer in Lee County
