SUMMARY: The weekend promises plenty of sunshine, with no rain expected for now and a warming trend on the way. Today’s temperatures will be in the mid to upper 50s, feeling more comfortable due to lighter breezes. The week ahead looks favorable, with highs reaching the lower 60s Monday and 70s by Tuesday and Wednesday. While there might be a few showers on Thursday from a weak system, it will be short-lived, leading to drier weather by Friday. Enjoy this warmer stretch, as temperatures are predicted to dip again in early March. Overall, a beautiful week ahead!

SUMMARY: Two large wildfires in South Carolina, the Table Rock and Persimmon Ridge fires, are now considered a complex wildfire, meaning they are being managed as a single incident. The Table Rock fire has burned 1,156 acres, while the Persimmon Ridge fire is at 314 acres. Over 100 personnel are working to contain the flames, with bulldozers creating firebreaks. Though no structures are immediately threatened, around 500 homes are under voluntary evacuation orders. Difficult conditions, including hurricane debris and dry, windy weather, are complicating firefighting efforts. Burn bans remain in place in both North and South Carolina.
