Road Patrol: From water to potholes, an Algiers homeowner has continued road problems
SUMMARY: Darryl Lumpkins, a homeowner in Algiers, faced a lack of water service last fall, which was later repaired. However, the water line fix has caused a new issue: a damaged street. While Lumpkins now has water and a tenant, the street remains in poor condition, with a gravel pit-like surface. Despite contacting the city and requesting repairs, she has received no response. The Sewage and Water Board stated that necessary sewer repairs were completed, and they are coordinating sidewalk and paving restoration, but Lumpkins is still waiting for action on the street’s condition.
