Warm weekend ahead, then colder air arrives for much of next week ~ Mia

SUMMARY: Good morning, San Antonio! Meteorologist Mia Montgomery reports patchy fog this Saturday morning, expected to dissipate mid-morning. Expect more clouds than sun with lunchtime temperatures in the mid-60s, peaking around 72°F later. Winds from the southeast may gust up to 20 mph. Sunday will start in the low 60s with morning fog, leading to sunny skies and highs in the mid-70s, but windy conditions with gusts up to 35 mph. A strong cold front arrives Sunday evening, dropping temperatures to the 30s overnight and highs in the 50s Monday. Monitor for possible light rain and wintry mix mid-next week.

2 north Harris County brothers were shot, deputies are investigating if it was accidental

SUMMARY: This morning, deputies are investigating a shooting involving two brothers in Alden. A 19-year-old died at the scene, while his 16 or 17-year-old brother was hospitalized with leg injuries. Investigators are working to determine whether the shooting was accidental or intentional and are interviewing the boys’ parents and friends who were present. The incident occurred shortly after midnight on William Street, where six to eight individuals were gathered. Detectives recovered a firearm and are conducting gunshot residue tests on attendees. The investigation remains active, with the possibility of the case being presented to a grand jury.

It’s unclear what led up to the shooting i.e. if it was accidental or intentional, but Sgt. Ritchie says there were at least 6 – 8 people inside the house when it happened, and everyone is cooperating with the investigation.

Man behind New Year’s attack visited New Orleans before, recorded video with smart glasses
