Warm start to the week then much cooler!
SUMMARY: Fall is settling in, and cooler temperatures are on the horizon, with a front moving through Arkansas towards Louisiana. While satellite imagery shows cloud cover, it’s primarily a result of temperature variations. The tropics are quiet, with a medium chance of a tropical wave developing over the next week, but nothing threatening the Gulf region. Locally, temperatures will remain warm leading up to Columbus Day before dropping significantly midweek, with lows reaching into the 40s and 50s. The chill will be temporary, as warmer weather is expected by next weekend.
Meteorologist Devon Lucie starts off with a look at the tropics where there’s an area outlined for possible development, he shows the latest forecast data and where that possible system will track, then walks us through the local high resolution forecast showing just how warm it will be the next two days before much colder air drops in. Then he’ll let you know how cold you’ll be by Wednesday and Thursday mornings while finishing with a look at the entire seven day forecast with highs, lows, rain chances, and the wind forecast too.

Coldest morning since March 29th then warmer days ahead
SUMMARY: Fire danger has decreased but remains a concern. Currently, two tropical systems are being monitored, with a low chance of development due to cold fronts preventing significant activity. Expect cold temperatures in the area, with tomorrow morning seeing lows around the upper 30s to low 50s, and a high of 70ยฐF later in the day. Winds may create a colder wind chill effect. For outdoor activities, especially grilling, caution is advised. This weekend promises sunshine and warming temperatures, reaching the mid-70s, making it comfortable for events like the Saints game and Oktoberfest festivities.
Meteorologist Devon Lucie starts us off with a quick look at the tropics where he’s still monitoring two systems for possible development but shows you the forecast data that suggest our hurricane season might be winding down for Louisiana, then takes us to Southeast Louisiana where the high resolution forecast will show you just how cold it will be outside your door Thursday morning, how much warmer you’ll get by the afternoon, and how strong the winds will be, then shows you when temperatures will begin to warm back up, highlights the weekend forecast, the sums it all up with the seven day forecast with high and low temperatures, rain chances, how much cloud cover you’ll get, and how strong the winds will be.
