Walmart pharmacies offering free health screenings and immunizations on Saturday
SUMMARY: Walmart pharmacies will host a Wellness Day nationwide on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering families free health screenings and affordable vaccinations as students prepare to return to school. Nearly 4,600 locations will provide glucose, cholesterol, BMI, and blood pressure screenings, along with immunizations for flu, HPV, tetanus, and hepatitis. Some stores will also offer vision screenings. Walmart Senior VP of Pharmacy, Kevin Host, noted the event is a valuable opportunity for families to meet health needs while shopping for school supplies. Since 2014, Walmart has provided over five million free health screenings, particularly in medically underserved areas.
