Voter fraud concerns increase as Georgia has record number of voters | Georgia
SUMMARY: In Georgia, 26% of registered voters have already cast ballots, raising concerns among Republicans about election integrity, echoing the 2020 situation. Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, a Republican, denied these claims, emphasizing transparency and adherence to laws regarding ballot counting deadlines. Concerns arose from his comments about reporting results, particularly regarding military and overseas ballots. Reports of voting machine issues were dismissed by local election officials. As both parties campaign heavily in Georgia, Republicans are focused on ensuring election integrity, with former Senator Kelly Loeffler participating as a poll watcher while Trump maintains a slight lead in polling.

Gov. Brian Kemp announces surplus tax rebates for Georgians
SUMMARY: Good afternoon everyone, and thank you for joining us for an important announcement affecting our hard work in Georgia. I’d like to thank First Lady Marty K.M. and key partners including Lieutenant Governor Bert Jones and Speaker of the House John Burns. Due to our conservative budgeting and historic job growth, I’m pleased to announce a tax rebate for workers as we approach the holiday season. Many Georgians are still recovering from recent storms and hurricanes, and we continue to seek relief for families facing high prices, as evidenced by my decision to suspend the state gas tax after Hurricane Helen.
Kemp and other legislative members held a news conference at the Georgia State Capitol Building.
