SUMMARY: The Harrison Central Red Rebels are on a winning streak, positioning themselves to challenge Gulfport and Ocean Springs in the new 7A classification. Last week, they won their invitational tournament by sweeping five matches at home. The Lady Admirals and Lady Greyhounds continue to play well early in the season. In 6A, the Lady Hurricanes are looking to challenge for a top seed in Division 4. George County aims to make it back to the playoffs, and East Central and Vancleave are focused on securing a top seed in 5A. In Class 4A, only Greene County and Moss Point open next Tuesday.

Maroon Tide Storm Past Rebels 63-40 To Reach Fourth Straight South State Title Game

After early turnovers, including two fumbles, Picayune began to dominate in the second half. Darrell Smith, who rushed for 244 yards, and Triston Cooper led the charge with multiple touchdowns. Despite George County’s efforts, including three rushing touchdowns from QB Deuce Knight, Picayune’s offense overwhelmed them. In 6A, Picayune (10-2) will host George County (7-5) after both teams advanced from the first round. Pascagoula dominated Terry, winning 41-0.
