Volleyball Playoffs roundup: Six squads from the Southern Six are headed to the South State finals
SUMMARY: Six “Southern Six” volleyball teams are still in contention for the South State championship round in the prep volleyball state playoffs. However, seven teams from the coverage area were eliminated in the South State Semifinal round. The South State championship games will take place on Monday, with the winners moving on to the overall state finals at The University of Mississippi. Four teams from the coverage area have a chance to make it to the state finals. The Class 3A and Class 6A South State finals will feature two teams from the coverage area. Other matchups include Ocean Springs vs. Brandon in Class 7A and East Central vs. South Jones in Class 5A.
