SUMMARY: Dozens of less fortunate children from the Pascagoula School District were selected for a shopping spree to educate them on the significance of giving back through a program named “Visions of Sugarplums.” This initiative has grown significantly over nearly two decades; it began when Steve Jordan decided to share his blessings with families in need during Christmas. Now, each child receives $300 to spend on gifts, and volunteers assist them in selecting necessaries and presents for themselves and their families. Moreover, the children were treated to lunch at Raising Canes and received $100 gift cards from First Baptist Church for their families’ Thanksgiving, highlighting the community’s generosity and support.

Programs like this help these children have a good Christmas and teach them about the joy of giving.
