Vigil remembers medical student killed in Shelby Farms Park shooting

A talented tennis player, the vigil was held in a tennis court, reflecting her love for the sport. Ellie, an honor student and member of Kappa Omega, was on her way to becoming an exceptional surgeon.
Friends and family came together to pay their respects to a woman who was allegedly shot to death by her ex-boyfriend while she participated in a walk for the American Cancer Society at a popular Memphis park. How Antioch High School is stepping up security and counseling

Purdue Pharma to pay TN, other states $7.4 billion for role in opioid crisis
SUMMARY: A bipartisan coalition, including Tennessee, will receive $7.4 billion from Purdue Pharma and the Sackler family for their role in the opioid crisis, with Tennessee set to receive over $90 million.
