VIDEO: Lafayette baseball finishes runner-up 5A state championship

The Lafayette Commodores fell to the Van Cleave Bulldogs in the third game. The Bulldogs claimed a 3-0 lead in the third inning, thanks to Leighton Eder's single and MVP Tyler West. Lafayette struggled offensively, loading the bases with zero outs but only scoring once on a wild pitch. Van Cleave's Aiden Tap pitched all seven innings. Commodores' head coach John Walker remarked that the team failed to capitalize on opportunities, resulting in a 6-1 loss for the 5A State title.
Lafayette is the 5A state baseball runner-up.

Fire damages apartments on County Line Road
