SUMMARY: Good evening, welcome back to WTVA9 Sports, I’m Jason Williams. The 2024 SEC Media Days are in day three, and the Mississippi State Bulldogs were in attendance this morning. Head Coach Jeff Lebby, entering his first year, is taking over a program that went 5-7 last year. The Bulldogs also have a new starting quarterback, Baylor transfer Blake Shapen. Lebby praised Shapen’s late 2023 performance and emphasized the importance of having the right quarterback for a successful season. Shapen threw for over 2,000 yards and 13 touchdowns last season and looks forward to playing in the SEC with Mississippi State.
