Video captures moments before inmate died from untreated diabetes
SUMMARY: New video footage reveals alarming actions of jail guards prior to the death of 32-year-old Carlton Bernard from a reportedly preventable condition at the St. Louis Justice Center. Bernard’s mother, Shot A. Winston, expressed sorrow over her son’s declining health, noting he lost significant weight and showed clear signs of distress. Autopsy results indicated that lack of insulin and dehydration contributed to his death. Despite visible neglect, including untouched food trays, jail staff failed to address his medical needs, leaving him alone for hours before his passing. An attorney is preparing a potential lawsuit amid ongoing investigations into Bernard’s death.
In a St. Louis Justice Center jail video, 32-year-old Carlton Bernard appeared too weak to hold up his own head.

Why Netflix is streaming NFL games on Christmas Day
SUMMARY: The way fans watch NFL games has evolved significantly, with Netflix now streaming major matchups, including Chiefs vs. Steelers and Ravens vs. Texans on Christmas Day. This shift comes as Netflix aims to compete with platforms like Amazon that host “Thursday Night Football.” Amidst concerns about technical difficulties encountered during previous live events, Netflix is pursuing a live programming strategy, moving beyond traditional cable and satellite frameworks. Experts suggest that Netflix is responding to shifting viewer habits due to cord-cutting trends. Games will also be available locally and through the NFL+ app for those without Netflix subscriptions.
