Veterans gather in West Point, 20 years after being deployed

SUMMARY: The 223rd Engineering Battalion, one of the first units sent to Iraq from West Point, recently celebrated their 20-year reunion at the National Guard Armory in West Point. The soldiers have maintained close friendships over the years and were happy to finally reunite after two decades. The retired battalion commander expressed his respect and admiration for those who are willing to make personal sacrifices for the sake of others. The engineering battalion plays a vital role in providing support to troops during wartime and assisting with natural disasters.
