Velma Jackson’s Weatherspoon one of state’s top players
SUMMARY: Quinndary Weatherspoon, a player from Velma Jackson in Mississippi, is considered one of the top three basketball players in the state for the class of 2015. Although he may seem stoic on the court, Weatherspoon is a skilled scorer and shooter, averaging 17 points, 6 rebounds, and nearly 3 steals per game. His 6-10 wingspan makes his shots difficult to block, and his athleticism allows him to often overpower opponents. Weatherspoon has received numerous scholarship offers from schools like Mississippi State, Murray State, and Tennessee, but his focus remains on achieving team goals before personal accolades.
