Vancleave man faces up to 20 years in prison for possessing child pornography

SUMMARY: A 67-year-old Mississippi man, Cameron Willis Cotrill, pleaded guilty to possessing 9,900 images and videos of child pornography and faces up to 20 years in prison. He was caught in an online child exploitation investigation on the BitTorrent network. A search warrant was executed at his Vancleave home on January 11, 2022, by the FBI and state officers. Cotrill is set to be sentenced on April 11, 2024, with the case being investigated by the FBI and the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office, and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrea Jones.

Trump’s idea to rename Gulf of Mexico resurfaces memories of Mississippi lawmaker who suggested it first

This victory marks Jackson State’s first Celebration Bowl win since its creation in 2015, and the Tigers’ first national title since 1996.
