USM’s Gulf Park Campus Kicks Off First Day of Classes
SUMMARY: The University of Southern Mississippi’s Gulf Park Campus reopened for the academic year, with students, staff, and faculty optimistic about the new semester. SUMMARY: Tessa Keating, a University of Southern Mississippi alumna, plays a key role in promoting NASA’s Artemis lunar missions at the John C. Stennis Space Center. A Carriere, Miss. native, she earned her master’s degree in communications from USM in 2006 and began her career at NASA as an intern. Today, as the protocol officer, Keating oversees events and high-level visits while educating the public on space exploration. In 2024, she received the prestigious Silver Snoopy Award for her contributions to NASA Stennis. Keating is passionate about promoting the Artemis program and its historic milestones in space exploration.
