USM keeps postseason run going with first year head coach

This year, they are led by new head coach Chris Ostrander, who won a Sun Belt title in his first season. Ostrander, a long-time staff member during the Eric Berry years, has successfully led the team without any drop-off in performance. Players praise Ostrander’s knowledge of pitching, hitting, and winning. The team’s first game in the NCAA Regional will be against Indiana in Knoxville this Friday at noon.
