USM housing at capacity this semester

We’re Open: McLean Center for Non-Profits

Chickasaw County inmates graduate from welding program

Sanderson Farms Championship will continue in Jackson next year
SUMMARY: The Sanderson Farms Championship this weekend is set to generate an estimated $7.5 million economic impact in the Jackson, Mississippi area. Thousands of golf fans are expected to flock to the Country Club of Jackson, providing a significant boost to local businesses. Hotels, including the Hilton, anticipate increased revenue as visitors travel from across the country, while restaurants like Drago’s prepare for large crowds. Homes in the area are being rented out as Airbnbs to accommodate the influx of attendees. Last year, around 30,000 people attended the event, highlighting its importance to the local economy.
