USM and Ole Miss basketball coaches pay it forward to coaches
SUMMARY: Chris Beard, head basketball coach for Ole Miss, spoke at a coaches clinic at Tougaloo College. Despite being new to coaching in Mississippi, Beard is familiar with the state‘s basketball scene due to having recruited players from there in the past. He expressed respect for the coaches in Mississippi and the basketball talent in the state. Jay Ladner, Southern Miss basketball coach, also attended the clinic and praised the Mississippi coaches association, stating that it is the best in the country. Both coaches acknowledged Jackson as a hotspot for talent in the state.
First year Ole Miss men‘s basketball head coach Chris Beard and USM’s head coach Jay Ladner were at Tougaloo College for the Mississippi Association of Coaches Clinic. They enjoy imparting knowledge and advice to current and upcoming coaches in the profession. They also enjoy what the state of Mississippi has meant to them personally and professionally.

Salvation Army helps with Hurricane Francine relief efforts
