Despite a Gallup poll indicating that a majority of Americans support doctor-assisted death under specific terminology, Brewer emphasizes that labeling it as suicide decreases support. Organizations like Tennessee Right to Life, among others, view PAS as morally and ethically concerning, fearing it may lead to coercion, financial incentives, and erosion of trust in the doctor-patient relationship. Brewer insists that all forms of suicide should be opposed, advocating for a consistent pro-life stance.
