A Rodeo Champion and skilled stuntman, Cook recalls his early love for rodeo, which led him to impressive stunts in major films, including “The Harder They Fall.” As he showcases the talents of black cowboys, he emphasizes their significant but often overlooked contributions to the American West, where an estimated one in four cowboys were black in the 1800s. The Department of Public Safety revealed that a routine update from a third-party vendor caused the issues, resulting in 2 to 3-hour wait times at various offices. Currently, only limited services, such as gun permits and ID cards, are being offered. Commissioner Tindle addressed accountability and future contracts with the vendor to prevent recurrence. He urged the public to remain patient as staff work diligently to resolve the chaos caused by the tech failure.
