Unidentified remains found in Jefferson County
SUMMARY: The badly decomposed remains of an unidentified body were discovered across the road from a deer camp on Rodney Road in Jefferson County. The body had likely been there for three weeks to a month and was covered in a throw blanket. Foul play is suspected, as there have been no missing persons reported in Jefferson County. The body has been sent to the state crime lab for identification. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation are investigating the case. Interview: Folks encouraged to participate in this year's Suicide Awareness Walk in Tupelo
