UM Pharmacy School secures grants for space medicine research

The first project is developing a portable 3D-printing digital platform to produce personalized medicines in space, while the second project aims to develop 3D-printed pills using bioengineered microbes. The students are hoping to address challenges in space medicine and contribute to the development of earth-side medicine. This is the first time the School of Pharmacy has worked with the Mississippi Space Grant Consortium, and they plan to apply for further funding opportunities in 2024.
