SUMMARY: Dallas Stevenson expressed shock upon learning that Rodarius Thomas, a University of Georgia wide receiver, was arrested for domestic abuse in her neighborhood. The incident occurred early Friday morning on Mill Creek Way, with police confirming the arrest but providing few details. This marks Thomas’s second arrest; previously, he faced charges of false imprisonment and family battery, which were dropped after completing a pre-trial diversion program. Concerns about the troubled history of Bulldog football players and their legal issues were raised, prompting disappointment from Coach Kirby Smart regarding the players’ choices and their impact on the program’s reputation.

SUMMARY: Chatham County, Ga. is hosting a free expungement clinic to help individuals with minor criminal records take advantage of Georgia’s 2020 “Second Chance law.” This law allows over 1.5 million people to potentially seal their records, particularly for minor offenses like traffic violations and nonviolent misdemeanors. Serious crimes, including felonies and domestic violence, remain ineligible for expungement. The event, held at Live Oak Library’s Southwest Branch from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., aims to assist those facing barriers in employment and education due to their records. It is open to eligible residents on a first-come, first-served basis.
